Invite-only. Independent. On your side.

Protect your business from big-tech exploitation.

Join Hopprfy and team up with other local shops. Pay lower fees. Help each other find customers.

Paying 30–40% in marketplace charges? Your hard work should build your business, not someone else's platform. There is a more local way forward.

Marketplace charges vary by provider and agreement. Compare your own total costs; this is not a claim that every platform charges 30–40%.

NW2

Your postcode. Your network.

Good neighbours.
Shared opportunity.

A network is a group of local shops on Hopprfy. Customers shopping with one can discover the others.

  1. Your shop joins Hopprfy.

Customers can find you alongside other shops nearby.

  2. A customer orders a coffee.

Hopprfy can also show them a nearby florist or bookshop.

  3. Another local shop gets noticed.

Your neighbours can help new customers discover your shop too.

A community. Not a crowded directory.

Built to protect vendors

A few shops of each kind.
Room for everyone to grow.

We limit how many similar shops we invite in each postcode. We don’t want dozens of shops selling the same things to the same customers.

That is why Hopprfy is invite-only. You ask to join, and we check whether there is space for your kind of shop in your area.

1–2
shops of each kind

in each postcode. By invitation.

  • Cafés: one or two in a postcode.
  • Florists: one or two in the same postcode.
  • Bookshops: one or two in the same postcode.

Those are examples of our invitation policy, not a list of open places. A café and a florist are different kinds of shop. Two cafés are the same kind.

Find your place in the network

Local shops helping local shops

They come for coffee.
They discover your shop.

Hopprfy shows shoppers other shops nearby. So someone ordering from your neighbour can find you too.

Here’s how it could work in NW2
  1. First, a coffee

    Someone orders from a café.

A shopper opens Hopprfy and finds a café in NW2.

  2. Then, a new discovery

    Your bookshop gets noticed.

Hopprfy can suggest your nearby bookshop to that shopper.

  3. It works both ways

    Your shoppers find neighbours too.

Someone browsing your books could discover the local florist.

An example of how recommendations can help. Being suggested does not guarantee an order. Shops join by invitation, with spaces limited by shop type and postcode.

More than taking orders

Your business.
More ways to make it work.

Let people pay cash. Help them find your products. Share earnings with the people you work with.

Pay at the shop

Pay cash. Collect in store.

A customer orders in the app, then pays you in cash when they collect. Available on eligible collection orders.

A £10 orderThey hand you £10. Hopprfy and the network take no fee on this cash order.

You handle the cash and any refund. Cash payments cannot be verified or refunded through Hopprfy.

Share with your partners

Share network earnings.

Choose who gets a share of your network’s earnings. Set each person’s percentage in the app.

A simple 80/20 splitFrom £10 of network earnings: £8 goes to you. £2 goes to your partner.

Network splits share eligible network earnings, not your whole sales bill or shop profit. Payment setup and release rules apply.

Ask in your own words

“Find me a bottle of wine.”

Ask Hopprfy uses AI to find products from shops serving the customer’s chosen address.

From question to basketAsk suggests products. The customer agrees what to add. Ask helps them get to checkout.

Ask can read replies aloud. Customers check the final price, choose delivery and confirm payment themselves.

Offer collection from your shop.

Customers choose Collect, pick an available shop and come to you. A delivery driver is not needed.

For example“I’ll order my lunch now and collect it on my way past.”

Run your shop your way.

Manage products, prices, options, stock and opening hours in the app. Use your own drivers or available delivery services.

For exampleAdd a product size, update its price or mark it out of stock.

Join other local businesses.

Get found alongside nearby shops. We invite one or two shops of each kind per postcode to limit too many similar shops in the same area.

For exampleA café customer discovers your bookshop. Your shoppers discover the florist.

You sell £20.
Our fee is £1.

On orders paid through the app, Hopprfy takes 5p from every £1 you sell. There is no fee to join. Delivery costs extra. Eligible cash-at-collection orders have no Hopprfy or network fee.

£1Our fee when you sell £20

We take 5% of the sale.

£19Left after our £1 fee

Delivery, tax and any other costs still need to be allowed for.

Who pays for the delivery?

Hopprfy prices delivery separately. The Deliveroo plan below includes its delivery rider in the shop’s fee. The two fees cover different things.

For shop owners · one simple example

Where does a £20 sale go?

A customer buys £20 of goods from your shop. This is how much each platform takes from the sale, before tax on the fee.

Hopprfy

You sell
£20.00
Our fee · 5%
−£1.00
Left after the fee
£19.00

Delivery is charged separately. Tax and other costs are not shown.

Deliveroo: a 35% plan

You sell
£20.00
Their fee · 35%
−£7.00
Left after the fee
£13.00

This is Deliveroo’s Marketplace+ plan using its riders. It includes the rider. Tax and other costs are not shown. Other plans may charge differently. [1]

Our fee is £1. That plan’s fee is £7.That is £6 less in fees on a £20 sale, before tax. Delivery costs are separate on Hopprfy, so your total saving can be different.
What about tax and other costs?

VAT is a tax added to some fees. For the Deliveroo example, £7 fee + £1.40 VAT = £8.40 taken from the sale. That leaves £11.60 before any other costs. Some VAT-registered businesses can claim that tax back. [3]

The Hopprfy figures above also leave out any VAT on our fee. Check your shop’s agreement. The money left after a fee is not your profit: you still have the cost of the goods, and any delivery, payment and other charges.

Another example: a £7.99 bottle of white wine

Same bottle price on both platforms. Compare the merchant fee before fee VAT and other costs.

Vendor example: identical £7.99 item, before fee VAT and other costs
Per bottleHopprfy · 5%Deliveroo rider-plan example · 35%
Item selling price£7.99£7.99
Merchant fee before VAT£0.40£2.80
Remaining after this fee£7.59£5.19

This is not profit or a final payout: it excludes product costs, delivery, processing, refunds, other deductions and taxes. At the UK standard 20% VAT rate, £2.80 commission adds £0.56 VAT (£3.36 total); eligible VAT recovery depends on your circumstances. [3]

For customers

Shops pay less in fees. They have more room to keep prices down.

The shop chooses its prices. A lower fee can help it offer a lower price to you.

Example: the same bottle costs £7.99 here and £10.79 elsewhere. You pay £2.80 less for the bottle. These prices are made up to explain the saving. We have not checked a Deliveroo listing, and actual prices may be the same.

Always compare the final bill.

Add the price of the goods, delivery and any extra fees. A cheaper bottle does not always mean a cheaper delivery order. The full amount is shown before you pay.

See more hypothetical item-price examples

These examples assume the other listing is 35% higher. That price uplift is an assumption, not a consequence of the commission rate.

Burger£8.99£12.14£3.15
White wine£7.99£10.79£2.80

A 35% listing-price uplift is a separate assumption from 35% commission. Actual prices can match. Deliveroo’s terms recommend in-store menu pricing. [1] Compare final checkout totals, including delivery and fees, rather than item prices alone.

Remember the customer-side fees

Deliveroo lists delivery, extended delivery, service and small-order fees; applicability and amounts vary. [2] Hopprfy also quotes courier and applicable checkout charges separately. Neither column above is an all-in delivered price.
